The Life of a Foolish Mortal

So once again it is hurricane time upon us. Except this time it seems to be actually hitting us as opposed to coming towards us and then sucker punching another county. Nope this one is hitting Houston and coming up the main high way and hitting my little college town with slightly less force.

My folks have battened down the hatches back home and my roommate and I have moved everything we vaguely care about away from the dorm window where hurricane winds might possibly make the tree outside our dorm an indoor resident. This means that my Behemoth of a desk top (which normally lives under the desk next to the window) has been unplugged and wrapped up in plastic and moved to higher shelf space. My only current connection to the internet is my roommates laptop that we are leaving up and connected as long as it seems alright. So don't go expecting any amazing journalism coming from this blog.

Right now all we can do is wait and count down the hours (few) until the hurricane makes its way here and see what falls out.

In the mean time I'm going to play Arkham Horror with my dorm mates in the lobby.
